Wedding, anyone?
As I was building my photography business, I had the opportunity to connect with many talented photographers who generously shared advice and insight that helped shape my path. I learned early on that great photography takes patience, preparation, and a strong commitment to the craft, and that those qualities make a real difference in the final result.
While I do not position myself as a full-time wedding photographer, I have had the privilege of photographing weddings by request for friends and families. Wedding photography is a specialized field that requires experience, organization, and a steady presence throughout the day. When it is done well, it creates images that couples can cherish for a lifetime.
Recently, I photographed a full-length church wedding for a couple who had known each other since middle school. After going their separate ways during college, they found their way back to one another and celebrated their marriage surrounded by family and friends. It was a privilege to be part of such an important day and to help preserve those memories for them.
Although it was a small gathering, the day was still an eight-hour event followed by many hours of editing. Still, when I delivered the proofs and the couple saw their wedding story captured in a meaningful way, the effort was absolutely worthwhile.
While wedding photography is not my primary focus, I would be glad to photograph a few weddings each year. I genuinely enjoy hearing people’s stories and documenting meaningful milestones, whether it is a first wedding, a vow renewal, or another special celebration.
If you are looking for a photographer for a small wedding, vow renewal, or civil ceremony, please reach out. I would be honored to learn more about your story and discuss how I may be able to help preserve it.
